3. RULE OF RESERVATION:

a. Vertical Reservation:

69% of the Communal reservation will be followed vertically as per the existing Government Rules / Orders i.e.,18% shall be reserved for the Scheduled Castes including 3% reservation for the Scheduled Caste Arunthathiyars (SCA) on preferential basis amongst the Scheduled Castes, 1% for the Scheduled Tribes, 26.5% for the Backward Classes (other than Backward Class Muslims), 3.5% for the Backward Class Muslims, 20% for the Most Backward Classes and the Denotified Communities and 31% shall be filled on the basis of merit:


Provided that if even after filling up of the required appointments or posts reserved for Arunthathiyars amongst the Scheduled Castes in Schedule-V, if more number of qualified Arunthathiyars are available, such excess number of candidates of Arunthathiyars shall be entitled to compete with the other Scheduled Castes in the inter-se-merit among them and if any appointment or post reserved for Arunthathiyars remain unfilled for want of adequate number of qualified candidates, it shall be filled up by Scheduled Castes other than Arunthathiyars.

(Section 27(a) of Tamil Nadu Government Servants (Conditions of Service) Act, 2016)

b. Horizontal Reservation:

i. Reservation for Women:

A minimum of 30% of the total vacancies will be reserved horizontally for Women candidates as per Tamil Nadu Government Servants (Conditions of Service) Act 2016, section 26 (1) & (2), rule (Tamil Nadu Act No.14 of 2016), and existing Government Rules / Orders. If qualified and suitable women candidates are not available for selection against the vacancies reserved for them, those vacancies will be filled by male candidates belonging to those respective communal categories.

ii. Reservation for Persons Studied in Tamil Medium (PSTM):

a. There is no Tamil Medium of instruction for the Master’s Degree in Law in the State of Tamil Nadu and since Master’s Degree in Law has been prescribed as an essential qualification for the post of Associate Professor and Assistant Professor, hence the Reservation for Persons Studied in Tamil Medium (PSTM) for recruitment to the post of Associate Professor and Assistant Professor does not arise.

b. PSTM concession is applicable for recruitment to the post of Assistant Professor (Pre – Law) as Post Graduate Degree in the subjects Economics, Sociology and Political Science are offered in Tamil Medium and details about requirement of PSTM i.e., from 1st standard to prescribed educational qualification have to be furnished in the prescribed format (Annexure I & II)

[G.O.(Ms.) No.82, Human Resource Management(S) Department, dated 16.08.2021] iii.Reservation for Differently Abled Persons:

4% Horizontal Reservation as per section 33(i) of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act – 2016 (central Act 49 of 2016) “the appropriate Government shall identify posts in the establishments which can be held by respective category of persons with benchmark disabilities in respect of the vacancies reserved in accordance with the provisions of section 34” of the said Act.

The Candidate who claims reservation under Differently Abled category should possess a valid identity card issued by the competent authority under the Commissionerate for Differently abled, Government of Tamil Nadu.

4. TRANSGENDER:

Determination of Community for Transgender:

i) The Transgender candidates, who do not possess any community certificate may be considered under Most Backward Class as per G.O.(Ms.) No.28, Backward Classes, Most Backward Class and Minorities Welfare Department, Dated: 06.04.2015.

ii) The Transgender candidates who belong to Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Caste

(A) / Scheduled Tribe communities, and possess community certificate as such, may be considered as per their respective community.

iii) The Transgender candidates who belong to the communities other than Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Caste (A) / Scheduled Tribe and possess community certificate as such (not covered under point (i) above) may be considered as per their own community or as Most Backward Class whichever is advantageous to them, as per their option and once the individual exercises option for community selection it should be crystallized and this option should not be changed in future.

5. QUALIFICATIONS:

a. Age limit as on 01.07.2025:

(i) As per the Special Rules for the Tamil Nadu Legal Educational Service, the age limit for the post of Associate Professor is 45 years. Provided that for appointment to the post of Associate Professor, for each year of service, on a regular basis in the post of Assistant Professor in a Law College in the State by a person, the age-limit will be increased by one year, subject to a maximum of five years.

(ii) No person shall be eligible for appointment by direct recruitment to the posts of Assistant Professor and Assistant Professor (Pre-Law), if he/she has completed the age of 40 years as on 01.07.2025.

(iii) Further, for appointment to the post of Assistant Professor for each year of service, whether regular or temporary, if need be, in any of the teaching posts in


a Law College in the State by a person, the age limit will be increased by one year subject to a maximum of five years.

(iv) Persons with benchmark disability will be eligible for age concession up to ten years over and above the age limit prescribed provided they are found to be otherwise suitable.

(v) An Ex-servicemen who has not completed 53 years of age on the 1st day of July 2025 in which the vacancies are notified, but is otherwise qualified, shall be eligible for appointment to the post of Associate Professor.

(vi) An Ex-servicemen who has not completed 48 years of age on the 1st day of July 2025 in which the vacancies are notified, but is otherwise qualified, shall be eligible for appointment to the posts of Assistant Professor and Assistant Professor (Pre-Law)

b. Educational Qualifications as on the date of Notification:

No person shall be eligible for appointment to the post of Associate Professor, Assistant Professor & Assistant Professor (Pre–Law) unless he/she possesses the minimum educational qualifications are as follows:

1. Associate Professor:

(i) Master’s Degree in Law in the relevant discipline of a University in India established or incorporated by or under a Central Act or a State Act or an Institution recognized by the University Grants Commission with not less than fifty-five percentage of marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale, wherever grading system is followed) and a good academic record.

Provided that candidates belonging to Schedule Castes and Scheduled Tribes shall possess not less than fifty percentage of marks:

Provided further that the holders of Ph.D. Degree in Law, who have passed their Master’s Degree in Law prior to the 19th September 1991, shall possess not less than 50% of marks in the Master’s Degree in Law.

Provided also that the candidates who have obtained their Master’s Degree in Law through Private Study or Distance Education Mode or through Correspondence Course are not be eligible for appointment:

Provided also further that the candidates who have obtained their Master’s Degree through One year Course are not eligible for appointment.

(ii) Teaching Experience for a period of not less than eight years in a Faculty of Law in a Law College and / or research in a academic / research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University, College or Accredited Research Institution / Industry with a minimum of seven publications in the peer-reviewed


or UGC-listed journals and a total research score of seventy five (75) as per the criteria given in Appendix II, Table 2 of the UGC Regulations, 2018.

(iii) Must have qualified in the National Eligibility Test (NET) or State Level Eligibility Test (SLET/SET) or an accredited Test:

Provided that the candidates, who are or have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil., / Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 and their amendments from time to time shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET or an accredited Test:

Provided further that the candidates registered for the Ph.D. Degree prior to July 11, 2009, shall be governed by the provisions of the then existing Ordinances / Bye-laws / Regulations of the Institution awarding the Degree, and such Ph.D. candidates shall be exempted from the requirement of NET / SLET / SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities / Colleges / Institutions subject to fulfillment of the following conditions:

a. The Ph.D. Degree of the candidate has been awarded in the regular mode;

b. The Ph.D. thesis has been evaluated by at least two external examiners;

c. Open Ph.D. viva voce of the candidate has been conducted;

d. The candidate has published two research papers from his/her Ph.D. work out of which at least one is in a refereed journal;

e. The candidate has presented not less than two papers based on his/her Ph.D. work in conferences / seminars sponsored / funded / supported by the UGC /ICSSR /CSIR or any similar agency.

(iv) A Ph.D., Degree in Law.

2. Assistant Professor:

(i) Master’s Degree in Law in the relevant discipline for which application is made of any recognized University with not less than fifty five percentage of marks (or an equivalent grade in a points scale, wherever grading system is followed) and a good academic record:

Provided that candidates belonging to Schedule Castes and Scheduled Tribes shall possess not less than fifty percentage of marks:


Provided further that the holders of Ph.D. Degree in Law, who have passed their Master’s Degree in Law prior to the 19th September 1991, shall possess not less than fifty percentage of marks in the Master’s Degree in Law.

Provided also that the candidates who have obtained their Master’s Degree through Private Study or Distance Education Mode or through Correspondence Course shall not be eligible for appointment.

Provided also further that the candidates who have obtained their Master’s Degree through One year Course are not eligible for appointment.

(ii) Must have qualified in the National Eligibility Test (NET) or State Level Eligibility Test (SLET/SET) or an accredited Test.

/ Bye-laws / Regulations of the Institution awarding the Degree and such Ph.D. candidates shall be exempted from the requirement of NET / SLET / SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities / Colleges / Institutions subject to fulfillment of the following conditions:

a. The Ph.D. Degree of the candidate has been awarded in the regular mode;

b. The Ph.D. thesis has been evaluated by at least two external examiners;

c. Open Ph.D. viva voce of the candidate has been conducted;

d. The candidate has published two research papers from his/her Ph.D. work out of which at least one is in a refereed journal;

e. The candidate has presented not less than two papers based on his/her Ph.D. work in conferences / seminars sponsored / funded / supported by the UGC /ICSSR /CSIR or any similar agency.

Note:

i. Candidates who possess M.L / LL.M. Degree in ‘Contracts’ can apply to the post of Assistant Professor for both ‘Business Law’ and ‘Law of Contracts’.

ii. Candidates who possess M.L / LL.M. Degree in ‘Constitutional Law’ and ‘International Law’ can apply to the post of Assistant Professor for both ‘Constitutional Law and ‘International Law’.

iii. Candidates who possess M.L / LL.M. Degree in ‘Constitutional Law’ and ‘Human Rights’ can apply to the post of Assistant Professor for both ‘Constitutional Law’ and ‘Human Rights Law’.

iv. Candidates who possess M.L / LL.M. Degree in ‘Labour Law’ and ‘Administrative Law’ can apply to the post of Assistant Professor for both ‘Labour Law’ and ‘Administrative Law’.

3. Assistant Professor (Pre – Law):

(i) M.A. Degree in any of the Universities in the State of Tamil Nadu or a degree of equivalent standard in the subject as may be specified by the Government from time to time with not less than fifty-five percentage of marks in the respective subject and a good academic record.

Provided that the candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes shall possess not less than fifty percentage of marks.

Provided further that the holders of Ph.D. Degree, who have passed their Master's Degree in the respective subject prior to the 19th September 1991, shall possess not less than fifty percentage of marks.

Provided also that the candidates who have obtained their Under graduate Degree or Master's Degree through Distance Education Mode or through Correspondence Course shall not be eligible for appointment.

Provided also further that the candidates with cross major degrees viz., Under graduate Degree in different subject than the subject of study at the Post graduate level shall not be eligible for appointment.

(ii) Must have qualified in the National Eligibility Test (NET) or State Level Eligibility Test (SLET/SET) or an accredited test in the subject concerned.

Provided that the candidates, who are or have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil. / Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 and their amendments from time to time shall be exempted from the requirement of the


minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET or an accredited Test.

Provided that the candidates registered for the Ph.D. Degree programme prior to July 11, 2009, shall be governed by the provisions of the then existing Ordinances / Bye-laws / Regulations of the Institution awarding the degree and such Ph.D. candidates shall be exempted from the requirement of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities / Colleges / Institutions subject to fulfillment of the following conditions:

(a) The Ph.D. Degree of the candidate has been awarded in the regular mode;

(b) The Ph.D. thesis has been evaluated by at least two external examiners;

(c) Open Ph.D. viva voce of the candidate has been conducted;

(d) The candidate has published two research papers from his Ph.D. work out of which at least one is in a refereed journal;

(e) The candidate has presented not less than two papers based on his Ph.D. work in conferences / seminars sponsored/funded /supported by the UGC/ICSSR/CSIR or any similar agency.

6. EQUIVALENCE OF QUALIFICATION (As on the date of Notification):

Candidates claiming equivalence of qualification should possess evidence for such claim in the form of a G.O. issued before the date of notification and the same has to be produced or uploaded at the time of applying online.

(i) The Government orders relating to equivalence of qualification are hosted in the Teachers Recruitment Board’s website.

(ii) If the candidate is in possession of an equivalence of Government order other than the one which is hosted in the website, the details have to be furnished and should upload the Government order while applying online.

7. A. QUALIFICATION CRITERIA:

i. Candidates who have obtained a degree after undergoing a course of one year duration (Double Degrees / Dual degrees, additional degree etc.,) are not eligible to apply for this recruitment.

ii. Candidates who have obtained any two or three of the required qualifications (SSLC, HSC, U.G. degree and P.G. degree) simultaneously are not eligible to apply for this recruitment.


iii. In cases where the Special Rules prescribe a Diploma or a Degree or a Post Graduate Degree as a qualification for appointment, then; -

(a) A Diploma obtained after completion of SSLC or Higher Secondary Course [(10+3, (3 years Diploma) or 10+2+2, (Lateral entry)] or

(b) A degree obtained after completion of S.S.L.C. and Higher Secondary Course (10+2+3+2 or more) or

(c) A Post Graduate degree obtained after completion of S.S.L.C., Higher Secondary Course or a Degree or its equivalent (10+2+3+2 or 10+2+5 or 10+3+3+2 or 10+3+5) pattern and a P.G., degree from any University or Institution, recognized by the University Grants Commission shall be recognized as the qualification.

B. ADEQUATE KNOWLEDGE OF THE OFFICIAL LANGUAGE OF THE STATE, VIZ.TAMIL:

(i) No person shall be eligible for appointment to any service by direct recruitment unless he/she has an adequate knowledge of the official language of the State, namely, Tamil: Provided that a person, being otherwise qualified for appointment to the post to which recruitment is to be made, may apply for recruitment to the post, despite the fact that, at the time of such application, he/she does not possess an adequate knowledge of Tamil. If selected and appointed, such a candidate should pass the Second-Class Language Test (Full-test) in Tamil conducted by the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission, within a period of two years from the date of appointment, failing which he/she will be discharged from service.

(ii) Compulsory Tamil Language Paper for Recruitment:

Notwithstanding anything contained in section 21, on and from the 1stday of December 2021, any person who applies for recruitment to any post in any service by direct recruitment shall pass the compulsory Tamil language paper in the examination conducted for the recruitment with not less than forty percent (40%) of total marks.

8. HOW TO APPLY:

A. Candidates should read carefully “How to Apply” section given in the Notification / Teachers Recruitment Board’s website.

B. Candidates should apply only through Online mode in the Teachers Recruitment Board’s website: (https://www.trb.tn.gov.in). No other mode of application will be entertained. The application process is entirely Online.

C. A valid e-mail id and Mobile Number of candidates are mandatory for registration and e-mail id should be kept active as all future communications will be sent to the registered e-mail id only.

D. (i) Applicants are allowed to submit 2 applications for Associate Professor in any 2 given subject but he/she must have 8 years of experience in each of the subjects for which he/she applies.

(ii) The candidates/applicants should restrict their applications to only 2 posts for Assistant Professor and Assistant Professor (Pre – Law). Either 2 Law subjects or 2 Pre-Law subjects or 1 Law and 1 Pre-Law. In case it is found that any candidate/applicant applied for more than 2 subjects by altering any of the required fields i.e. Mobile No, e-mail ID, the said additional applications will be rejected at any stage of the recruitment process.

E. The applicants are advised to submit separate application for each post by paying fees separately for each application. The fee once paid for one application shall not be refunded or adjusted later.

F. Evidence for claims made by the candidates should be uploaded by the candidates at the time of Online Application itself. The same will be verified subsequently at the time of Certificate Verification cum interview, if called for.

G. All the particulars mentioned in the online application including name of the candidate, post applied for, subject applied for, communal reservation, date of birth, address and all other fields will be considered as final. The candidates can make any changes (addition / deletion) if necessary while applying online before final submission. No modifications shall be allowed after the last date specified for applying through online. Candidates are requested to fill in the online application form with utmost care and caution, as no correspondence regarding change of particulars will be entertained at any cost.

H. Incomplete or defective applications shall be summarily rejected. No representation or correspondence regarding such rejection shall be entertained under any circumstances.


I. The Candidates not having prescribed qualifications, as on the date of Notification shall not be eligible to apply for the examination. The candidates should satisfy themselves about their eligibility criteria before applying. All qualifying certificates including PSTM certificate should have been obtained on or before the last date for submission of filled in online application announced in the recruitment notification.

J. The candidates are advised to exercise due diligence at the time of filling the application. In case, if duplicate application of a candidate for the same subject is detected, Board will consider only the latest application, if it is in order.

9. UPLOADING THE DOCUMENTS / CERTIFICATES:

Candidates should upload the required Documents / Certificates for proof in respect of all the claims made in the application with reference to this Notification at the time of submission of Online application itself. If the following required Documents / Certificates are not uploaded by the Candidates, while applying, his/her application will be rejected after due process:

(a) Qualification Certificates:

The following Original Certificates and Mark Statements are to be uploaded in the portal along with the Online application:

i. 10th / SSLC Mark Sheet

ii. 12th / HSC Mark Sheet (Higher Secondary Course or its equivalent)

iii. Diploma or its equivalent, if applicable

1. Consolidated Marks Sheet of all Semesters

2. Diploma Certificate or Provisional Certificate

iv. UG Degree Certificate

1. Consolidated Marks Sheet of all Semesters

2. Degree Certificate or Provisional Certificate

xiii. Bar Enrollment Certificate, if applicable.

xiv. Conduct Certificate from the last studied Institution

xv. Character Certificate from a Group-A/Group-B officers of the Central/State Government.

xvi. Transgender ID Card with Gender Certificate, if applicable.

xvii. Differently Abled Persons (DAP) Certificate, if applicable.

xviii. Ex-Servicemen Certificate, if applicable.

xix. Destitute Widow, if applicable.

(b) Community Certificate:

Community Certificate should be obtained from the following authorities of Government of Tamil Nadu by the candidates for claiming communal reservation as the case may be:

(a) ST  Revenue Divisional Officer (if the certificate is issued after11.11.1989)

(b) SC/SCA–Tahsildar of native taluk of the candidate.

 

(c) BC, BCM and MBC/DNC–Headquarters Deputy Tahsildar or Special Deputy Tahsildar.

(d) Community Certificate of Married woman issued with her Father’s name alone shall be accepted.

(e) Community certificates issued by any other State or Union Territory Authorities will not be considered against vacancies reserved for 69% communal reservation. They will be considered under General Turn (G.T) only.

(c) Persons Studied in Tamil Medium (PSTM) Certificate:

i. The concession for Persons Studied in Tamil Medium (PSTM) is not applicable for recruitment to the post of Associate Professor and Assistant Professor as LLM Degree is not offered in Tamil Medium.

ii. PSTM concession is applicable for recruitment to the post of Assistant Professor (Pre- Law) as Post Graduate Degrees in the Subjects Economics, Sociology and Political Science are offered in Tamil Medium.


iii. For the post of Assistant Professor (Pre-Law), Candidate who claims reservation under Persons Studied in Tamil Medium (PSTM) category has to submit Tamil Medium Study Certificate from class 1st standard to prescribed education qualification in the prescribed format (ANNEXURE – I & II).

(d) Differently Abled Persons (DAP) Certificate:

Candidates who claim the reservation under Differently Abled Persons category, has to upload an Identity Card and Passbook with Disability Certificate issued by the Competent Authority.

(e) Teaching Experience Certificate as on the date of Notification:

(i) In the case of previous Teaching Experience in Government Law Colleges, the Experience Certificate for Law subjects will be signed by the Principal/Deen of the concerned Government Law College and Counter signed by the Director of Legal Studies.

(ii) In the case of Universities / Deemed Universities and Private Law Colleges recognized by Bar Council of India, the Experience Certificate shall be signed by the Principal / Head of Department / Dean / Registrar of the Institution concerned and counter signed by the Vice Chancellor / Head of the Institution.

(iii) The format of the Teaching Experience Certificates are given in Annexures–IV & V

(f) No Objection Certificate (N.O.C):

Candidates who are in the service of the Indian Union or a State in India or in the employment of Local Bodies or Universities or Quasi Government Organizations constituted under the authority of the Government of India or of a State in India whether in regular service or in a temporary service need not send their application through their Head of Department or Employer. Instead, they may directly apply to the Teachers Recruitment Board after duly informing their Employer in writing that they are applying for the particular recruitment and with the condition that they should produce “No Objection Certificate” (NOC) in the form prescribed as in Annexure - III, from Head of the Department or the Appointing Authority at the time of attending the Certificate Verification, if called for.

Note:

i. Persons who get employment after the submission of their applications and before the receipt of intimation admitting them to the Certificate Verification / requiring them to produce original documents for verification should also produce the “No Objection Certificate”.


ii. In case any Criminal / Disciplinary action is taken against any persons or if any punishment is imposed against such persons after the production of “No Objection Certificate” (NOC) and before the actual appointment, such candidates should report this fact forthwith to the Teachers Recruitment Board indicating their Register Number. Any violation or failure to comply with these instructions will end in rejection of candidature.

(g) Conduct Certificate from the Institution Last Studied:

Conduct Certificate is to be obtained from the Head of Institution in which he/she last studied and uploaded.

(h) Character Certificate from a Group-A/Group-B officers of the Central/State Government:

Character Certificate obtained prior to 3 months from the date of notification from a Group-A/Group-B officers of the Central/State Government duly mentioning the Candidate’s Name, Father’s Name, address and period during which the Candidate is known to the Group-A/Group-B officers of the Central/State Government (Minimum 2 years) should be produced at the time of Certificate Verification, if called for.

 

10. EXAMINATION FEE:

a. The Examination fee is Rs.600/- for each application for all the candidates except SC, SCA, ST and differently abled persons. For SC, SCA, ST and differently abled persons the examination fee for each application is Rs. 300/-. Since the examination fee for each application is different for various categories, candidates are advised to enter the correct Community / Category of Disability. Once the payment is made, it will not be refunded.

b. SMS alert regarding successful Payment will be sent to the registered mobile phone of the candidate.

c. Online payment to be made only through Payment Gateway. (Net banking / Credit Card / Debit Card)

d. Offline mode of payment in any form such as Demand Draft /Postal order etc., will not be accepted.

e. The candidates should also pay the service charges as applicable for Online payment.

f. Failure to pay the prescribed fee in time along with the Online application will result in the rejection of application after due process.

g. Fee once remitted shall not be refunded or adjusted for future test under any circumstances.

h. If a candidate pays the fee for more than one time for one application, the amount will not be refunded.


11. SCHEME OF EXAMINATION:

A: Compulsory Tamil Language Eligibility Test:

(Objective Type  OMR Based)

The Tamil Language Eligibility Test is a qualifying test only and it will be conducted in objective type pattern consisting of 30 questions for 50 marks and the duration of examination will be 30 minutes as Part–A. This mark will not be considered for ranking.

(i) The syllabus for the Tamil Compulsory Paper is of 10th Std. level which is hosted and it can be downloaded from the Teachers Recruitment Board’s Official website.

(ii) Obtaining a minimum of 40% of total marks in Part - A examination (minimum qualifying marks) is only eligible for the next level of evaluation of the Part – B answer sheet.

(iii) The procedure will be followed as mentioned in the G.O.(Ms.) No.49, Human Resources (M) Department, dated 23.05.2022 for exempting the differently abled candidates from the Compulsory Tamil Language eligibility test.

The written competitive examination will consist of a Single Paper and the question paper will be of objective type with Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). 12. SCHEME OF SELECTION:

A. Compulsory Tamil Language Eligibility Test:

The Tamil Language Eligibility Test is a qualifying test only and will be conducted as per the scheme of examination mentioned above. The candidate has to score a minimum qualifying marks of 40% to go to the next level of evaluating Part-B Answer Sheet.


B. Written Examination:

(i) The Date, Time and Centre for the OMR based Written Examination will be mentioned in the Hall Ticket. The Hall Ticket for the eligible candidates will be uploaded by the Teachers Recruitment Board in its website. The candidates are advised to refer to the Teachers Recruitment Board’s website for details (https://www.trb.tn.gov.in) and download the Hall Ticket.

No written communication will be sent to the candidates individually. The Hall ticket will not be sent to the candidates separately.

(ii) The participation of the candidates in the OMR based Examination is purely provisional and does not confer any acceptance of their claim in the application.

(iii) Scribes: Eligible Differently Abled candidates will be allowed the assistance of scribes based on their claims made in the Online application and submission of Disability Certificate / Medical Board Certificate.

C. Evaluation and Award of Research score as per Appendix II, Table 2 of the UGC Regulations, 2018 will be done by the Evaluation Scrutiny Committee (in the case of Associate Professor only).

D. Verification of Original Documents followed by Interview:

(a) Verification of Original Documents:

Based on the result hosted in the website, the qualified candidates shall be called for to attend the verification of original documents followed by interview as follows:

“The number of candidates to be called for the interview shall be twice the number of vacancies. If the vacancies are less than five, three times the number of vacancies shall be called for the interview”

(b) Interview:

(i) The notice of interview will be hosted in the website intimating the date, time and place of interview with reference to the details of applications received. SMS and Mail will also be sent to the registered mobile number and the registered mail id.

(ii) The cases of those candidates who do not appear for the interview at the date, time and place specified without assigning specific reasons to the satisfaction of the Board shall be summarily rejected.

(iii) The marks for the interview will be 25 marks.

E. Examination Results:

i) Tentative Answer Key

Teachers Recruitment Board will publish the Tentative answer key in its website (https://www.trb.tn.gov.in) after the conduct of the examination.


ii) Objection Tracker

Any objections with regard to the Tentative answer key shall be raised through Online mode only within the prescribed time after publication of the Tentative answer key in the prescribed proforma available in the website. Objections can be raised in the dedicated link for a particular time only. Telephonic Call, Mail, Written representations or representations received by post will not be entertained.

III) Final Answer Key

The objections received from the candidates shall be finalized by the Subject Experts and Final answer key shall be hosted in the Teachers Recruitment Board’s website along with the examination result. No further objections on published Final answer key will be entertained. The decision of the Teachers Recruitment Board shall be final in this regard.

iv) Publication of Written Examination Marks

The written examination marks will be published in the Teachers Recruitment Board’s website along with the list of Candidates summoned for the Verification of the original documents followed by interview.

13. PROVISIONAL SELECTION:

Provisional Selection List will be prepared based on the marks scored in the written examination and in the interview taken together by applying the rule of reservation for selection (For further details refer para 18 (B) (ii & iii) of “Instructions to the candidates”)

The list of candidates provisionally selected will be published in the Teachers Recruitment Board’s website viz. (https://www.trb.tn.gov.in). The provisional selection of the candidates is subject to fulfilment of necessary eligibility criteria. The selection list will be forwarded to the Appointing Authority and the appointment orders for provisionally selected candidates will be issued by the Appointing Authority after due verification of all Original Documents, Certificates and Mark Statements pertaining to the education qualifications as the case may be.

14. ACTION AGAINST CANDIDATES FOUND GUILTY OF MISCONDUCT:

Candidates are warned that they should not furnish the false particulars / false information or suppress any material information while filling the application form. Candidates are also warned that they should in no case attempt to alter or otherwise tamper with any entry in a document or submit details based on tampered/fabricated document. If there is any inaccuracy or any discrepancy, in the application form, the application will be rejected. Without prejudice to criminal action/ debarment from writing Teachers Recruitment Board’s


examination wherever necessary, candidature will be summarily rejected at any stage of the recruitment in respect of candidates found to have indulged if any of the following:

a. In possession of mobile phone and other accessories, Bluetooth devices and other electronic gadgets within the premises of the Examination centres, whether in use or in switched off mode and in person or otherwise.

b. Involving in malpractices.

c. Using unfair means in the examination hall.

d. Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification for selection.

e. Impersonation/procuring impersonation by any person.

f. Submitting fabricated documents or documents which have been tampered with.

g. Making statements which are incorrect or false or suppressing material information.

h. Resorting to any other irregular or improper means in connection with his/ her candidature for the examination.

i. Misbehaving in any manner in the examination hall with the Supervisor, Invigilator or Teachers Recruitment Board’s representatives.

j. Intimidating or causing bodily harm to the staff employed by the Teachers Recruitment Board for the conduct of examination.

k. Candidature can also be cancelled at any stage of the examination for any other ground which the Teachers Recruitment Board considers to be sufficient cause for cancellation of candidature.

15. DECLARATION REGARDING CRIMINAL CASES (OR) DISCIPLINARY CASES:

a. Candidates who have declared pending criminal or disciplinary cases in their Online application, must upload the copy of First Information Report (FIR) or memorandum of charges / show cause notice, as the case may be. Failure to upload such papers along with Online application, shall result in rejection of candidature after due process.

b. Candidates who have declared conviction in criminal cases or punishment in disciplinary cases, in their Online application, must upload the relevant Court orders and/or release orders or memorandum of proceedings, as the case may be, along with Online application. Failure to upload such papers, shall result in rejection of candidature after due process.

c. In case of any criminal case is filed / disciplinary action is taken against or conviction / punishment is imposed on a candidate after submission of the online application at any stage of the recruitment process before the completion of entire selection process such candidate should report this fact to the Teachers Recruitment Board in the next immediate stage. Failure to comply with these instructions and suppression of the above


information shall result in rejection of candidature after due process and debarment for a period of one year.

Any violation of instruction therein will result in rejection of application and forfeiture of his/her candidature after due process.

16. GENERAL INFORMATION:

a. Candidates should ensure that they have their scanned recent colour passport size photograph (JPG/JPEG/PNG format of size 20-60 KB) and digital signature (JPG/JPEG/PNG format of size 10-40 KB) separately. The candidates have to upload their photo image and signature image while applying Online. The Online application uploaded without the candidate’s photograph and candidate’s signature will be summarily rejected. No correspondence in this regard will be entertained.

b. These certificates shall be uploaded in PDF format of size maximum of 500 KB

c. If the candidate is applying for more than one post or subject, he / she should submit separate application form for each subject. In such cases, the candidate should use same email id and mobile number for registration. But a candidate cannot apply for more than once for the same subject. Otherwise, his/her applications will be rejected.

d. Incomplete applications and applications containing false claims or incorrect particulars relating to category of reservation, basic qualifications and other eligibility criteria will be liable for rejection and criminal action will be initiated against the candidate.

e. The number of vacancies notified is only tentative and it is subject to modification with reference to vacancy position given by the User Department before finalization of selection.

f. Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification for selection.

g. No TA/DA will be paid for Certificate Verification and attending Interview.

 

h. The online application can be submitted till 05.00 p.m. on 03.03.2025 after which the link will be disabled.

i. Candidates should avoid uploading of password protected copy of documents in which case applications shall be summarily rejected.

j. Candidates should avoid scanning the documents through mobiles as the documents uploaded are not clearly visible in majority of the cases.

k. Candidates without the uploaded documents of 10th/SSLC Certificate, HSC Certificate or its equivalent, two-year Diploma or both UG and PG mark sheet, Degree certificate and Ph.D. Degree certificate will be rejected.


l. In respect of recruitment to this post, the Candidates shall mandatorily upload the certificates / documents (in support of all the claims made / details furnished in the Online application Community Certificate, priority Certificates of Different Abled Person and Transgender at the time of submission of Online application itself. It shall be ensured by the Candidates that the Online application shall not be submitted without uploading the required Documents / certificates.

m. The onus is on the applicants to upload the softcopy of relevant documents. Any subsequent claim made thereafter on submission of Online application will not be entertained at any cost.

n. Possession or use of electronic devices such as Mobile phone, Microphone or any other Associated Accessories, Calculator, Log Tables, Pager, Digital Diary, Books, Electronic equipment or gadgets etc., are strictly prohibited in the Examination Hall. If any candidate is found in possession of any of these devices/documents, candidate’s candidature is liable to be cancelled. Also, the candidate should not bring any valuables to the Examination Centre and the Centre shall not be responsible for their safe custody.

o. All Candidates are instructed to go through the Sl.No.8 “How to apply” carefully before filling in the Online application.

p. All the particulars mentioned in the Online application will be considered as final and no modifications will be allowed after the submission of the application. Once an application is submitted, no further request for change of details will be entertained. Hence, the applicants are instructed to fill the Online application with utmost care and caution as no correspondence regarding change of details will be entertained.

q. It is the responsibility of the candidate to prove that he/she is eligible for the particular post beyond doubt. The onus of proving qualifications, community, date of birth, other special reservation claimed, lies on the candidate only.

r. Mere submission of application and appearing in the examination, does not provide any right for provisional selection.

s. The selection for appointment to the post is purely provisional subject to the final orders in the Writ Petitions, if any, pending on the files of the Hon’ble High Court of Madras and Madurai Bench of Madras High Court.

t. After submitting the application, candidates can print / save their application in PDF format.

u. Candidates need not send the printout of online application or any other supporting documents to the Board.


17. WARNING:

i. The Teachers Recruitment Board hereby cautions the candidates against touts and agents who may cheat, by making false promises of securing jobs through unfair means. The Associate Professor, Assistant Professor / Assistant Professor (Pre–Law) in Government Law Colleges in the Tamil Nadu Legal Educational Service by the Teachers Recruitment Board is purely merit based.

ii. The Teachers Recruitment Board shall not be responsible or liable for any loss that may be caused to any applicant on account of indulging in any sort of dealings with such unscrupulous elements.

iii. Candidates are solely responsible for their claims made in the Online application and cannot blame service providers like internet cafes / browsing centers / Common Service centers for the mistakes made while applying Online application for recruitment. Candidates are advised to fill up the Online application by themselves or in their presence to check the filled in Online application along with required documents and ensure its correctness before finally submitting the same. Teachers Recruitment Board will not take any responsibility for such mistakes.

iv. The candidates shall mandatorily upload the certificates / documents in support of all the claims made / details furnished in the Online application at the time of submission of Online application itself. It shall be ensured by the candidates that the Online application shall not be submitted without uploading the required certificates. It is the responsibility of the candidates to ensure that correct entries are made and submitted in the Online application.

v. Candidates are directed to read all the information / instructions / guidelines given in this notification and the Board’s “Instructions to the Candidates” (https://www.trb.tn.gov.in) before applying for this recruitment. Clarification, if any, required may be obtained over phone (1800 425 6753) or by an e-mail (trbgrievances@tn.gov.in) well ahead of the last date for submission of Online application. Candidates should follow the instructions given in the Online application also.

 

18. REPRESENTATIONS:

Any representation or any query relating to the notification / application may be clarified by sending mail to the following e-mail id trbgrievances@tn.gov.in only. Other mode of communication such as by post, in person, WhatsApp etc., shall not be entertained by Teachers Recruitment Board.


19. INTIMATION TO THE CANDIDATES:

Individual communication regarding the date and time of Certificate Verification (CV) and Interview will not be sent to the candidates by Post. The details will be made available in the Teachers Recruitment Board’s website. However, the Teachers Recruitment Board provides an additional facility to the candidates by informing the above said date and time of Certificate Verification and Interview etc., via: SMS and e-mail to their registered Mobile Number and email ID. Candidates are directed to track the Teachers Recruitment Board’s website periodically for all updates and intimations. Teachers Recruitment Board is not responsible for failure / delay in delivery of SMS / e-mail to the candidates due to any reason including technical issues. Any representation from the candidates for non-receipt of SMS or e-mail will not be entertained.

20. LAST DATE FOR SUBMISSION OF FILLED-IN APPLICATION FORMS:

The last date for submission of filled-in Application forms through Online mode is on or before 03.03.2025 at 5.00 p.m. After that the Online link will be disabled. Incomplete Online applications will be rejected.
